Embracing Neurodivergence: April Awareness & Acceptance Month

April is Neurodivergence Awareness and Acceptance Month — a time to celebrate the beautiful diversity of human minds.

Neurodivergence includes autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and many other ways of experiencing the world. These aren't deficits. They're natural variations in how people think, feel, learn, and connect — each carrying its own unique strengths and perspectives.

At Kaitie Daly Psychotherapy, this month (and every month) is a reminder of why inclusive, affirming care matters. When people feel truly seen — not despite how their mind works, but because of it — healing becomes possible.

Why Awareness Matters

Greater awareness leads to:

  • Increased empathy and understanding

  • Reduced stigma and misconceptions

  • More inclusive workplaces, schools, and communities

How You Can Support

  • Listen to and amplify neurodivergent voices

  • Educate yourself and others

  • Practice patience, flexibility, and kindness in everyday interactions

Whether you identify as neurodivergent, love someone who does, or are simply learning more, you're welcome here.
