FAQs

What to expect from therapy?

Our initial meeting aims to develop an understanding of your current challenges by getting to know one another and finding out your personal story to further build upon our relationship. As we get to know one another, we will create a personalized therapy plan, so you feel comfortable and supported throughout the therapeutic process.

The length of therapy depends on your needs and goals.

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes and occur weekly. Sessions are available virtually through secure telehealth anywhere in California.

Individual & Group Workshops are available.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out-of-network therapist. I am able to provide superbills at the end of each month that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

Do I need to do anything before coming to see you?

Upon scheduling our first session together, I will provide you with the necessary information to create your client portal. In your client portal, you will be able to review, sign, and date all the necessary paperwork.

What is the communication policy outside of sessions?

Communication outside of sessions is limited to brief, logistical needs such as scheduling, billing, and telehealth access. Messages, emails, and phone calls are answered during business hours. If you are in crisis or need immediate support, please call 988 or go to your nearest emergency room.

What is my cancellation and reschedule policy?

I kindly ask that if you do need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know 24 hours before the scheduled session time. Appointments that are canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged for the total amount of the session.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

Under the No Surprises Act, you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate that outlines expected therapy costs. This provides transparency around financial expectations for therapy throughout the state of California.

Is telehealth effective?

Yes. Research shows online therapy is equally effective for therapeutic support. It provides accessibility and ease of scheduling.

How do you know if we’re a good fit?

A consultation call gives you space to share your goals, ask questions, and get a feel for whether my approach aligns with what you’re looking for. It’s important that you feel understood and comfortable—this foundation often begins on our first call and continues to grow over time. From there, therapy becomes a collaborative process, and together we can determine whether continuing to work together is the best fit for your needs or if another provider or service might better support you.
